Search the Library catalogue to find books, including:

Catalogue search tips

The Library catalogue can be a good starting point for searching the collection.

Know the exact title? Type it into the search box and select title, for example: Urban nation: Australia's planning heritage

Searching for a topic?

  • Type the keywords from your topic in the search box. For example: urban planning australia - finds material with all your keywords
  • Use the connector OR to find alternative terms. For example: le Corbusier OR Jeanneret
  • Use the Refine options in the left-hand column to narrow down your search to format "books" or "full text online"

What is a scholarly book?

Look for the clues:

  Clue 2: Reputable author/creator: Look for the authors' qualifications.

                                    Clue 3: Includes cited references and a bibliography.
