Collection Overview

The Social Work Historical Collection was established by the Social Work department of the University of South Australia to collect material about the history of social work education in South Australia.

The collection includes published and unpublished material from social work practitioners in the government and non-goverment welfare sector. It includes conference proceedings, reports, brochures, booklets, papers, policies, correspondence, newsletters, newspaper clippings and audio recordings including oral interviews. Study guides and notes from former social work students and lecturers are also included. The collection also includes a large selection of books.
