Ebook guide: MyiLibrary

Using MyiLibrary

MyiLibrary logoReading

Opening an ebook from the Library Catalogue takes you directly to the book cover.

From here you can scroll through the book, click on the arrows at the top to go forward or back, enter a page number in the field provided, or use the contents sidebar or dropdown to go directly to a chapter.

MyiLibrary books are limited to being read by only 3 UniSA users simultaneously. If this maximum number of users has been reached, you will be unable to read the book until a copy becomes available.

Searching

To search within an ebook, click on the "Search" button in the left sidebar.

Downloading

You may download up to 5% of the pages of an ebook as a PDF file. Use the "Download Page Range" icon, on the right above the book view.

Printing

You may print up to 5% of the pages of an ebook. Use the "Print Page Range" icon, second from the right above the book view. Select your page range, and choose "Print". The pages open in a pop-up window, so you may need to accept the pop-up in your browser. Once the pop-up has loaded, press Ctrl-P to print.

Highlighting/Annotating

To create notes for ebook pages, you must sign in to a personal MyiLibrary account. To create an account, choose the "Notes" tab in the left sidebar, choose "Login to My Account" and enter your email address under "Create an Account". MyiLibrary will send your password by email.

Once you are logged in to you account, create notes by going to the "Notes" sidebar and choosing "Add/View a Note". Give your note a subject and content, and choose "Save New Note". All of your notes appear in a box below the note entry, where you can select a note to view it, select the page number to go to that page, and mark notes to be deleted or printed.
