There are many reference management programs. UniSA supports EndNote20 & EndNote21 only. Students can obtain the latest approved version through the UniSA Library Collection:
Zotero and Mendeley are freely available on the Internet.
UniSA staff and students have access to Mendeley Institutional Edition. If you already have a Mendeley account, you will automatically be upgraded to the Institutional Edition. There are a range of of self-help guides and support available on their website:

Before you begin installing:
When you create a new library a .enl file and a .data folder will be created. EndNote needs both to work properly, keep in the same location and with matching names.
By default, new EndNote libraries will save to the Desktop. When creating a library, save to the Applications folder, as it is not synced with iCloud. Otherwise you can save your library to the Desktop or the Documents folder but they must be disconnected from iCloud first. Follow these instructions if you would like to disable Desktop or Documents folder iCloud backups on your computer:

If you are using EndNote over multiple devices we recommend using EndNote Online, it is strongly recommended to only have one EndNote Library.
Use after leaving the University.
If you already have an account with Web of Science or InCites (databases) then your login details will be the same for EndNote. These products are owned by the same company.

The EndNote Preferences menu allows you to customise your EndNote. While these are optional, in order for functions such as Find Full Text to work properly, you will need to add the UniSA preferences.
Open Preferences in:
In the left menu, select Find Full Text. Copy and paste the URLs below:
Ensure the following information is entered to access PDFs subscribed to by the University of South Australia. In the left menu, select URLs & Links then copy and paste these URLs:
Select Apply then OK.

The EndNote desktop account will not be accessible after leaving UniSA. The University of South Australia does not consider Alumni to be authorised users and does not purchase any licensed software for Alumni. Alumni are not covered by the Acceptable use of IT policy https://i.unisa.edu.au/policies-and-procedures/university-policies/corporate/c-22/.
You will still be able to access your free EndNote online account.
