Research impact can be measured in a variety of ways. Author and journal metrics are two indicators that can be used. These can be used to track scholarly research, and support research grant and promotion applications.

ORCID is the Open Researcher and Contributor ID. Using ORCID, you can register online for a unique author identifier, show all your publications, and link your profile through to your profiles on ResearcherID, and Scopus Author ID.
Some journals now require you to submit your ORCID as part of the process when submitting articles for publication.
UniSA staff can create an ORCiD ID via UniSA, follow the prompts at the UniSA ORCiD ID registration page. The process takes about one minute and you can edit your profile at any time to add your keywords, and links to other websites. Functionality to automatically update the 'work's section of your ORCiD with your publications will be enabled soon.
