Reading
To read online, click the Borrow button to borrow the title. This will automatically create a 2 week loan on the book. Click on the Read button. This will open the book in the browser reader, known as ePlatform. The Table of Contents is available in the black bar at the top of the ebook - from here the desired chapter can be selected.
Most CCH ebooks are multiple user, but some have restricted access, meaning that a limited number of people can use them at one time. If the maximum number of users is reached, you have the option to reserve a title via the Reserve this Title link.
Borrowed titles can be returned at any time by clicking on the Return button. Alternatively, the loan will expire automatically at the end of the borrowing period.
Searching
The search box on the website header allows for searching across the platform whilst the search box at the top of the table of contents allows searching within the book.
Downloading
CCH ebooks can only be downloaded as Adobe DRM protected files. Please see our guide to Downloading ebooks for information on the software required to read DRM-protected books. Alternatively, CCH have step by step instructions on accessing the software.
Downloaded books will last for the duration of your 2 week loan period, and will need to be downloaded again when this period has expired.
Printing
CCH eBooks do not currently allow for printing.
Highlighting and annotating
This can be done in both the browser reader and the downloaded file.
