The Adelaide Sustainability Centre (ASC) works to reduce community consumption and waste by sharing resources, promoting a shift in the concept of ownership, and providing access to items that might otherwise be out of reach.
The ASC Library of Things was officially launched in 2023 in partnership with Housing Choices SA, inviting individuals, households, groups, and organizations to participate. The initiative also seeks to inspire and support others in establishing their own Libraries of Things.

Membership operates on a pay-what-you-can model, with a minimum donation of $5 per item.
Alternatively, monthly memberships are available for $20 to start and $10 per month for renewal.
