Reading

You will see a list of each section and chapter in the ebook. Click on the section or chapter title to open it. For some titles, this will display the section as a continuous page. Other titles will show only an abstract.

To read the full text of a section in original (paginated) format, click on the "Download PDF" link above the book title.

Searching

You can search within an ebook from the search box above the Table of Contents.

The search box at the top of the page allows you to search the entire ScienceDirect platform.

Downloading

Chapters and sections of ebooks can be downloaded as DRM-free PDF files. Use the "Download PDF" link above the book title, and the Save option in your PDF viewer.

Some titles also have the option to download sections in other formats for use on mobile devices. Use the "Export" drop-down menu above the book title, and choose either the EPUB or Mobipocket format under "Export Full-text".

Printing

PDFs of chapters or sections may be printed. Use the Print option in your PDF viewer.

Highlighting/Annotating

This can be done using comments on downloaded PDFs.
