1. Australian or international? The Smith Family is an Australian charity |
2. Private, public or non profit? The Smith Family are a Public Company |
3. What industry? The Smith Family are classified as Social Assistance Services in Australia |
4. Owned by a parent company? The Smith Family do not fall under a parent company. |
Public versus private companies:
Public companies are listed and traded on a stock exchange whereas private companies are not listed. Also, public companies must provide annual reports to the public which makes them easier to research.

Do a web search for your company's website and spend time exploring. You can find information on The Smith Family where there is a dedicated section on the website titled 'about us'
You can also search for a company on the Australian stock exchange.
